Who are we?
Valley Church is a church plant located in South Hadley, MA, just north of Springfield in Western Massachusetts. We are part of the 2020 Church Planting Network and began in January 2010 with a purpose to love and worship Jesus... together. Valley Church, like many other churches in the area, faces several challenges to survive and truly love and worship Jesus... together. One of those challenges is reaching what is statistically now the least-churched and least-Christian area of the United States: New England.
Valley Church is unique in a couple of different ways. First, it is a unique mix of orthodox, historical Christian belief and a modern, current communication style. You could say that Valley Church hopes to bring the eternal truths of the 1st Century forward to the 21st Century. At Valley Church, you will experience the Bible taught, Jesus proclaimed, in a doctrinally-sound environment mixed with a rock band, usage of contemporary technology in many forms and an appreciation of local, modern culture.
In order to love and worship Jesus... together, Valley Church must first know and love those with whom we hope to be loving and worshipping Jesus. Therefore, it is our deep belief that we are called to love and serve the Pioneer Valley and work for the betterment of the Valley as a whole. We desire to be a people within the Valley that is known for loving the Valley in ways of service, volunteering and filling the gaps where God gives us the opportunities. Sometimes these areas of service will be out in the open and sometimes these areas will be very private and off the radar. Either way, it is Valley Church’s heart to love and serve as Jesus loved and served.
