Prayer

Eat. Pray. Love. That may be the name of a current box office hit that tells the story of a woman's journey to 'herself' (where is that located anyways?), but we here Valley Churchers sure love to eat (did you hear about our legendary pig roast?), we all need to pray, and that leads us to love bigger and better for Jesus. So for all of you out there who want to eat good food, pray for the needs of those around you, and be moved to love in a radical way, we invite you to jump in with both feet to the prayer ministry. "Where can I jump to?" you may ask. Read on for an answer.

Prayer Walking at the Middle School:

Prior to the start of each service, we have a prayer walk through the middle school in preparation for the service and those arriving. Any and all are invited. We start at 9:50 am and finish around 10:15 am.  For those more athletically inclined, we then do a prayer run around the athletic fields (just kidding...!).

Prayer During the Service:
During and following the sermon, there are prayer team members located at the prayer table, willing and ready to pray for anyone who needs it. People are free to come back at any point for prayer during the service. Due to savvy tech people on our team, we are also able to receieve prayer texts throughout the sermon (413.274.7132). For those who like good old pen and paper, there are information cards located on each seat with space for written prayer requests. These should be put in the offering baskets at the end of service. Both these cards and prayer texts are collected and prayed over during the week.

Weekly Emails to the Prayer Team:

Each week, the previous Sunday's prayer requests are collected and sent out via email to the prayer team to be prayed over throughout the week. This is also a group of people that will be notified in the event of an immediate need of prayer (think of them as prayer EMT'S....insert Rescue 911's William Shatner voice here).
